Drawing from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s epic poem Evangeline, this dramatic account of the British attack on the Acadian people in Nova Scotia in 1755 was composed for the Opera from Scratch festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia and was premiered by soprano Megan Miceli and pianist Simon Docking.
